- Bio: FRESH JAY begins with DJ career way back to 1985.,strongly influenced with the movie “Beat Street”.First he started workin’ demo mixes with 2 cassette decks untill 1986,when he begin to work with turntables. An important fact about Fresh Jay’s DJ-ing career is that he’s been a DMC championship contestant for six times:THE BEST RESULT-1995.in London (UK), at the “Hippodrome”,came in 4th with a 3 turntables show... Fresh’s production work started developing as early as 1991.,right after he bought his first synthesizer,the Roland W-30,which he used to sample various effects and create music he was scratching over.One by one he started overcoming all the production problems and learned the ropes of the trade His hobby was collecting different pieces of equipment,as well as trying to master playing the keyboards. 1995. he started his own studio and a label “Urbani Zvuk”. Untill today,he participated in various projects for the lead CROATIAN artists. Fresh Jay in summer of 1999 started a house music oriented movement called Magic Grooves.The general idea was to promote the urban culture and help develop the Croatian clubbing scene in a way that it hasn’t been done before-using his own style to cobmine house,groove,tribal,hard house etc.To push off the promotion of Magic Grooves,Fresh Jay produced a track called “In The House” that soon become anthem,which also had a noticable success abroad Even since then Fresh keeps putting out a track every few months,and often includes those tracks in his own DJ sets...Some of Fresh biggest offshore projects: RMX for Grandmaster Flash “If you wanna party” (1999.-published with Austrian label “Jam”,distributor “Zyx Music”,RMXfor label KosmoMusic”,”Talisman P meets Barrington Levy-Here I Come (Sing DJ)” (2001.-distributed by“Universal Music”) FRESH JAY-GOOD STUFF cosmophilia distribution CD COMPILATION *WELCOME TO HACIENDA*01, from this compilation we all know track *GET DOWN SUPERFUNK* which became hit of the year NO1 on the CROATIAN radio station*OTVORENI RADIO*
